Roll a Snowman

A quick dice race for any age. Every sheet has a snowman made of six numbered parts. Roll the die, then color in the part with that number. You can't start until you roll a 1 for the base. First to finish the whole snowman wins, and then everyone gets a snowman to keep. Prefer drawing? The pack also has a picture of the snowman to copy and blank draw sheets with the dice key across the top: roll, then draw that part. Great at the kids' table, in a classroom, or as a warm-up while guests arrive.

How to play

  1. Choose your way to play: color in a snowman sheet, or draw your own snowman on a blank page (or a draw sheet) by copying the picture. It's the same game, and everyone can pick differently. Take turns rolling one die (or play in teams and share a sheet).
  2. You can't start until you roll a 1 for the base snowball. After that, each roll adds the part with that number: color it in. A part you already have means pass.
  3. The first player to color all six parts shouts “SNOWMAN!” and wins. Roll again for the next round.

You need: One die for each group of players, Crayons, colored pencils or markers. What's in it: a snowman sheet for every player.
